“ The biggest secret of the antiques world is the treasure trove of virtually untapped mid-century furniture that still exists in private family homes among the countries of the former Yugoslavia. ”

The former country of Yugoslavia may be gone but much of the beautiful quality furniture which filled every working class home after WWII still remains.

The first postwar years after WWII in Yugoslavia, saw implementation of Soviet-style five-year plans and reconstruction through massive voluntary work. The countryside was electrified, and heavy industry was developed. The economy was organized as a mixture of a planned socialist economy and a market socialist economy: factories were nationalized, and workers were entitled to a certain share of their profits.

This boom in industry was largely consumer focused and allowed most households to furnish their homes with locally, quality made furniture in what's come to become known today as mid-century modern.

As design and furniture lovers around the globe have fallen in love with mid-century style, authentic, quality pieces have become increasingly hard to find. Competition for the most sought after looks have forced many people to settle for cheaper reproductions.

With our extensive network and relationships with trusted locals as well as local suppliers we always have access to rare and hard to find mid-century furniture, not found anywhere else in the world. Much of the furniture we have access to is in near perfect condition and consists of hard to find matching sets.

We source for private clients, interior designers, corporate clients, film/print sets, and high-end real estate home staging.

If you, or a client is looking for that statement piece, or a whole home of furniture we can deliver that WOW experience.
